Today, I was having an issue connecting to GitHub’s Code Distribution Servers to download packages using Composer. GitHub repositories are available, so that means we can still get the code by using the –prefer-source option on composer install. Also, since you’re cloning repositories when you prefer source, you also get around the API Rate Limiting problem that I mentioned in my earlier post about using Composer on Pagoda Box.
